Mom Was ‘Totally Not Expecting’ Her Son, 3, to Go Viral for Parenting His Baby Doll

Mary, a teacher and mother of two boys from Pennsylvania, never expected her three-year-old son Sylas to become an internet sensation. But that is exactly what happened after she shared a video of him "parenting" his baby doll. The clip shows Sylas gently rocking the doll, shushing it, and patting its back with surprising precision.
"I was totally not expecting this," Mary said. "He just picked up the doll one day and started acting like he was putting it to sleep. It was so natural."
Mary explained that Sylas is learning how to communicate and express emotions through this type of pretend play. She encourages it as part of his development, especially since he is still working on his vocabulary.
