On Wednesday, the Troup County Sheriff’s Office marked a significant milestone with the graduation of three inmates from the Parenting Inside Out program. This initiative is designed to provide evidence-based parenting education tailored specifically for individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
The Parenting Inside Out program tackles the unique challenges that incarcerated parents face, focusing on the well-being of both the parents and their children. Throughout the course, participants engage in a structured classroom environment where they receive guidance from experienced parenting coaches. These coaches employ cognitive-behavioral techniques to help inmates develop essential parenting skills and foster healthier family relationships.
Graduates of the program expressed their gratitude and shared their newfound understanding of effective parenting strategies. This program not only aims to improve the lives of the inmates but also seeks to create a positive impact on their families, ultimately helping to break the cycle of incarceration. The Troup County Sheriff’s Office continues to support such initiatives, recognizing their importance in rehabilitation and community reintegration.
