Workshop to teach new dads parenting, leadership skills

A new two-session workshop aimed at helping new and expectant fathers build both parenting and leadership skills is coming to Toledo. The program, called Built for Fatherhood, will take place on Thursday and again on August 27, hosted by Compassion Health Toledo.

The workshop is designed to address the unique challenges that men face when stepping into fatherhood. Organizers say the goal is not just to teach basic baby care, but to help dads develop a stronger sense of confidence and purpose in their new role. Topics will include communication with partners, managing stress, and practical ways to support a child's early development.
